Clinical Interests

Larissa’s clinical practice is centred on translating complex clinical information into clear, practical guidance that patients can understand and apply in daily life. Her areas of focus include:

  1. Diabetes and Endocrine Health: Management of all forms of diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational and atypical presentations), insulin therapy optimisation, pump management and CGM interpretation including pattern recognition and adjustment.
  2. Weight Management and Metabolic Health: Evidence-based weight management using sustainable behaviour change strategies, nutrition support alongside GLP-1 and other metabolic therapies to improve adherence and outcomes.
  3. Thyroid and Hormonal Conditions: Nutritional management for hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism and hormonal imbalances including PCOS, menopause and insulin resistance.
  4. Preventative Nutrition: Long-term metabolic health optimisation and preventative nutrition care for patients looking to reduce their risk of chronic disease.
  5. Infant and Paediatric Nutrition: Support for infant and paediatric feeding or growth concerns.

Approach to Kalix Care

Larissa’s approach aligns with the Kalix model of coordinated, specialist-led healthcare that addresses the whole patient rather than isolated symptoms.

“My focus is on patients who aren’t getting the results they should be, even when the medical management is right. That’s usually where nutrition makes the biggest difference. It’s not about handing someone a meal plan. It’s about understanding what’s actually driving their metabolic picture and building a practical strategy around their real life. Within Kalix, that means I’m working alongside the patient’s GP, endocrinologist or specialist so the nutrition plan is integrated with their medical care, not sitting off to the side.”

Her practice is built around preventing metabolic disease and improving long-term outcomes through practical, realistic nutrition strategies that patients can sustain.
